ONLINE MINDFULNESS GROUP
TRAINING IN ENGLISH.
Jon Kabat-Zinn (8-week MBSR Course).

Quality mindfulness training in compliance with official group standards. Includes: intake, 2 1/2 hour sessions, 5 hours silence day and thorough teaching material. 

 

This training also qualifies for health insurance reimbursement.

This Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Training (MBSR) is given according to the gold standard created by Jon Kabat-Zinn at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center. It is the most researched and established secular mindfulness program available. 

 

This mindfulness training is for everyone who wishes to increase their quality of life by:

 

  • increasing resilience, peace and living with greater ease

  • ​learning how to skillfully manage stress

  • learning how to release difficult thoughts and decrease mind wandering

  • learning how to deal with difficult feelings, like tension, anxiety or pain

WORKING METHOD

Mindful State is a boutique and specialized mindfulness provider since 2014. Personal attention and high quality are paramount. The group will therefore not exceed 8 people. The trainer is very experienced and certified in the highest standard. You can rely on it that the training is in compliance with the official group MBSR standard. This means, you receive:

MBSR PROGRAM

Mindfulness is a skill. By practicing, you will master important life skills for your well-being! In this process you will be guided by your trainer. The program takes place over an eight-week period. You will get to work with meditations, relaxation and awareness exercises & theory. Take 30 to 45 minutes of daily practice into consideration. The more you practice, the more you reap the benefits! 

 

The program includes the following elements:

  • learning to switch from doing to being

  • stress education

  • dealing with thoughts and emotions

  • recognizing mental and physical boundaries

  • (self) care & compassion

  • sustaining positive mental habits
     

INTAKE

During a free of charge intake, we carefully discuss your motivation, goals and challenges. An intake is an important part of the MBSR-training. We can get acquainted and discuss how the mindfulness training can help you move forward in the best possible way. 

MATERIAL

You receive qualitative extensive teaching material. You’re provided with theory, tools, tips, quotes, research, articles, inspiration and forms. You also receive audiotracks with various mindfulness meditations. 

MINDFULNESS TRAINER

Marianne Smit is your mindfulness trainer. She has in-depth meditation experience and founded Mindful State in 2014. Marianne is a down-to-earth mindfulness trainer in the highest standard (cat. 1 VMBN). She extensively explored mindfulness and the science behind it in the Netherlands and abroad. Her mission is to structurally improve mental and social welfare through the development of mindfulness and social emotional skills based on the latest research. For that reason, she also supports the work of the Greater Good Science Center and brain research.

The training is live online. You only need a computer, laptop or tablet and internet! This gives you the freedom to follow this mindfulness training anywhere in the Netherlands or from abroad! Just make sure you sit in a quiet place free from distractions...

DATES & TIMES

Day: Tuesday evening.

Time: 7:00 pm - 9:30 pm (2 1/2 hours per session). 
Dates: 10, 17, 24, 31 August, 7, 14, 21, 28 September 2021.
Meditation day (5 hours) : Saturday, 18 September, 11:00 am - 4:00 pm.

 

REFUNDS

HEALTH INSURANCE

It may be that your Dutch health insurer (partially) reimburses this mindfulness training. Check the Dutch Zorgwijzer for reimbursement.


EMPLOYER

In some cases, employers contribute in the context of sustainable employability, prevention, recovery (reintegration) or if you have a personal development budget.


UWV

Are you disabled or unemployed? Ask the Dutch UWV about the possibilities for reimbursement. Make sure you can motivate, why this mindfulness training can contribute to your recovery or employability.


SELF-EMPLOYED

Are you self-employed? Inform with your accountant or the tax authorities for possible tax benefits.


CAREGIVERS

Are you a caregiver? Dutch health insurance companies might reimburse this MBSR training. Please check your health insurance.
